Multiple postdoctoral and junior PI positions are immediately available in Guo Lab (http://www.guo-lab.cn) at Peking University Institute of Advanced Agricultural Sciences. We are looking for skilled, enthusiastic, and self-driven postdoctoral researchers who are interested in genomics and epigenomics of horticultural plants, biosynthesis and regulation of plant natural products and plant-microbe interactions. The positions are open immediately until suitable candidates have been found.
About the lab:
We are a research team at Peking University Institute of Advanced Agricultural Sciences (PKU-IAAS). Our research interest focuses on genomics, bioinformatics and synthetic biology of horticulture crops including vegetables, flowers and medicinal herbs. We study molecular mechanisms underlying interactions between horticulture plants and pathogenic fungi, especially vascular wilt pathogens. Combining experimental and computational analysis, we aim to understand the genome architecture, gene regulatory mechanisms underlying horticulture plant growth, natural product biosynthesis, adaptation to biotic and abiotic stress, guiding crop improvement. Here are some recent representative publications of our research:

About you:
Successful candidates should be self-motivated and organized individuals with a Ph.D. and strong background in plant biology, plant pathology, genomics, epigenomics, synthetic biology or chemical biology. You should have excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work independently and as a team member, and to communicate with PI regularly to drive project forward. Candidates with strong quantitative background or rich experiences in molecular plant-microbe interactions are encouraged to apply.
Location:
PKU-IAAS is located at Xiashan Economic and Ecological District of Weifang city, Shandong Province, China. The city of Weifang, famous for its agriculture and kites, is located in central
Shandong Peninsula, about one hour drive to Qingdao Jiaodong International Airport. To apply, please send a cover letter, CV and contact information for three references to Dr. Li Guo ([email protected]). Informal inquiry about the positions is also welcome.
