Overview
Let’s do this. Let’s change the world. In this vital role you will join the High Throughput Protein Solutions team in our Biologic Therapeutic Discovery organization. The team is responsible for the design and generation of key enabling DNA and protein reagents to support discovery of small and large molecule therapeutics and pioneering modalities.
As a successful candidate, you will supervise a high-performing team whose goal is to produce diverse protein reagents from mammalian expression systems to support the Amgen pipeline. You will enable the strategic and scientific management of the group and will also actively participate in the science through hands-on lab work and implementation of high-throughput technologies. Alignment with our mammalian expression and purification teams in South San Francisco and collaborations with partner functions such as Biologics Discovery will be key.
Well-suited applicants will have a strong scientific background in recombinant protein expression and purification from mammalian systems and a deep scientific curiosity. They will provide leadership and mentorship to the team and bring a positive approach to working in a collaborative research environment.
This role offers potential for advancement and career development. If you have a passion for science and want to be part of an organization discovering new medicines that will impact patients’ lives, we invite you to join us!
