The Suez Smart & Environmental Solutions global business unit (SES) aims to accelerate the development and roll-out of our smart environmental solutions on a global scale. To meet the demands of a growing and highly competitive market, the SES BU is organized around two complementary approaches:
1- via Solutions, to ensure rapid development and service-to-market. There are 5 solution lines: digital and decentralized solutions, environmental quality & smart agriculture, asset performance management, air & climate, and consulting & smart city.
2- via geographies, in relation to the other Group entities (i.e. the 6 Regions and the Global WTS BU), to ensure optimal service and customer-centric offers.

Main Responsibilities:
Project management of technical projects assigned to you by your line manager
Produce and review technical reports
Provide technical support to technical projects managed by colleagues
Provide technical support to laboratory activities to ensure that quality and H&S criteria are met
Lead on identified innovation research projects and business development activities and contribute to overall technical BD and service development strategy
Keep up to date with relevant technological developments through attendance at relevant industry events and demonstrate commitment to continuous learning to ensure you are a technical expert in your specialist field
Produce technical papers and other material (e.g. articles and case studies) as well as presenting at relevant industry events to promote AE technical capabilities in collaboration with BD team
Provide in-house training to Aqua Enviro staff
Perform any other duties as reasonably required by the Company.
Who we are looking for
We are seeking a proactive and customer orientated individual to provide technical support for consultancy projects on commercial, industrial, municipal wastewater and sludge processing projects.
Essential skills and experience:
MSc or PHD in relevant field
Strong knowledge in chemistry and microbiology
Good understanding of current and emerging wastewater treatment technologies, with specialist knowledge in aerobic treatment processes
Experience in managing your own projects
Confident in leading small research studies
Confident in presenting to internal teams and also at external events
Practical experience of working on wastewater treatment works and the associated H&S requirements
Full Clean Drivers license
Preferable skills and experience
Experience of managing small teams
An understanding of how the water industry can meet Net Zero targets
Knowledge of other treatment processes including preliminary and primary treatment, AD, AOP, LTP, coagulation, industrial effluent treatment
Laboratory skills
Experience of contributing to product or service development initiatives
