Who am I?  Where am I from?  Why am I here?  Where does our story begin?  These all question I used to ask myself everyday. My name is Xiaoli Song a Chinese name that means blooming Jasmine in the morning.  My nickname is HOYLEE because I like a Korean star with the same name.  I’m a designer, I love photography, fashion, literature and everything that relates to beauty.  I am more emotional than rational, active and passionate, sensitive and vulnerable.

My hometown is in a small village of Shandong, China where I spent my happy childhood. I have a well settled and happier family of four brothers and sisters and I am the eldest.  I wasn’t exactly a girl because I was naughtier than a boy.  My father ran a lumber business, and my brothers owned their own factories. After I graduated from university, I worked as an intern in an international wedding photography shop in Shanghai. Later, I resigned from my job and came to Beijing to participate in postgraduate exams.  After one of the worst failures of my life, I decided to began my long life in Beijing.

Now I am working as a marketing director in a company in Beijing, and my responsibilities include customization of corporate brand strategy and promotion of CIS brand. My daily work includes new media operation, bidding promotion of Internet search engine, organizing and participating in exhibitions of various industries in China, promotion of corporate brand, etc.  Our company is mainly engaged in smart water and heat metering products and services, throughout China and even some countries in Southeast Asia. I was involved in  well-known projects like Daxing International Airport, National Military Museum, Beijing Sub-Center, CCTV, National Gymnasium, Wanda Real Estate.

I live an ordinary life from nine to five. My working life is different from personal life as I am serious and confident at work, but lively and cheerful in private.“As an ordinary person, I take the eyes of love to find the light and love around me, I love life, love sunshine, and I love everything I have”. I spend my each day in the way I like within my ability.  Once in a foggy morning, I dress up to go to work.  My colleagues ask me, what is the good day today, why are you dressed so ceremoniously?  I smiled and said nothing, because today is a very ordinary day, so I want to dress up for it to make it very special.

I’m often free to define any cause of celebrating the life, whether it’s because I’m in the car see a ray of sunlight through the woods, or a new green on the tree tops;  It may be the red glow of the setting sun;  It could even be the cables twitching in the wind and the lazy sheep behind the shepherd.  As long as there is warmth in the heart, even if the snow outside the window, the heart can also be warm as spring. To the people around me the most said blessing is, follow your heart;  The best blessing to bestie is to marry love;  The most blessing to relatives is: peace and joy. The Bible says, “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? (Matthew6:25 NIV) 

Life may not shine every day, but people never stop shining. Every one of you is a shining body. Light, is not just a dazzling halo, It could be your unknowing bravery, It is the love that knows the obstacles, the self that is not afraid to be defined by others.  When you go out into the light, you have your own light. I agree that all the confusion and hesitation in life come from our lack of true love.
